All public libraries in Northern Ireland will be closed on Monday 25 May and Mobile Libraries will not be on the road. The Out of Hours Service will be available in applicable libraries.

Every Monday from 10:30am - 12:00 noon.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Monday from 11:00am - 11:30am

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Lego Club  

Lego Club, every Saturday morning from 11:00am to 1:00pm.


Come along, enjoy creating your own Lego creation and have a photograph to go on our Lego gallery wall.

Mindful Colouring  

Every Wednesday from 11:30am - 2:30pm.


Enhance your well-being and calm the mind through relaxed meditative colouring. A gentle way to reduce stress using intricate colouring patterns and designs.


Relax as well with a cuppa.

Children's Storytime  

Children's Story Time held on the 1st Thursday of the month from 3.30pm to 4.00pm.


Storytime sessions help children aged 4 - 8 years develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Time for Tea  

If you are free and fancy some tea - the place to be is Tullycarnet Lib-ra-ree.   Relax, chat, turn off your device. Read a book, perhaps try a genre, that you have not tried before.

World Bee Day  

Let's get digging and plant some wildflowers seeds to attract our Pollinators - the bees.  For World Bee Day.

Tullycarnet Yarnspinners with Fran O'Boyle  

Fran O'Boyle is a storyteller and artist who is based in County Donegal with Glens of Antrim roots, he has been working as a professional storyteller for more years than he cares to remember in schools, festivals, museums and libraries all over Ireland and the U.K.

Dementia Awareness Week  

Drop in for a coffee, tea and chat.  Enjoy a warm welcome for you the carer and your person with Dementia in our Library.  There will be music playing and a chance to look at old books on Belfast and other parts of Northern Ireland.
