All public libraries in Northern Ireland will be closed on Monday 31 August and Mobile Libraries will not be on the road. The Out of Hours Service will be available in applicable libraries. You can check out our eResources via our website or app.

Enjoy a hot drink while perusing our selection of newspapers.  Gives adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Junior Lego Club every Friday for 4-11 year olds, accompanied by an adult.

Come and enjoy some meditative Mindful Colouring in the relaxing environment of the library. Available every Monday from 9.00am- 12 noon.

Knit and Natter  
Every Monday from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
 
Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Thursday from 10:00am - 10:30am.
 
Booking essential on the morning of the session from 9:00am.
 
Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.  Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Storytime sessions help children aged 4 - 8 years develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Read, score, repeat: Football and Literacy Day  

Our young stars will listen to a fast-paced football story, then tackle head-on who their favourite players are, make paper mesh footballs to score more goals  at home and sample our football books in the library.

Learn about the anatomy of trees before joining a team of Lego builders to create your very own library treehouse that will go on display and attract admiring glances from library goers.

Save The Bees craft time  

Help us celebrate Go Green with Libraries NI Month! Use our craft resources to decorate your own very own flowerpot before planting special seed paper to grow your own colourful wildflowers. These flowers will give bees and other pollinators much needed food reserves before the winter months!

MacMillan Coffee Morning  
Come along and support our MacMillan Coffee Morning. As part of the Belfast Trust Cancer Support Service, MacMillan Health and Wellbeing co-ordinator Tanya Moffett will be in attendance to offer support and guidance for those affected by cancer. Everyone welcome.

Botanical Watercolour Workshop: Paint Nature's Beauty  

This all-ages and all-levels botanical watercolour painting workshop invites children, teens, adults, and grandparents to learn techniques inspired by nature and will be delivered by local artist Maurice Shannon.
