Rhythm and Rhyme  
Held on the first Saturday of the month from 11:00am - 11:30am.
 
Booking not required.
 
Rhythm and Rhyme is an exciting free programme to introduce children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories in the library. Rhythm and Rhyme is a great opportunity for children to have fun and learn in a relaxed venue while giving parents and carers the chance to socialise.

Knit and Natter  
Fortnightly on a Wednesday from 11:00am to 12:30pm. Please contact library for more information and date of next meeting.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Mindful Colouring  
Fortnightly on a Wednesday from 11:30am until 12:30pm. Please contact the library for the date of the next meeting.
 
Enhance your well-being and calm the mind through relaxed meditative colouring. A gentle way to reduce stress using intricate colouring patterns and designs.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Wednesday from 11:00am to 12 noon.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Rhythm and Rhyme

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

The Adult Reading Group for 16's and over gives an opportunity for adults to discuss their latest book.

Empathy Day Festival - Children's Crafts  

Come to Fintona Library for Children's Empathy Day Crafts.
Cut out & decorate your own Empathy Superpower Glasses. Wear them to remind you to look from the perspective of others.

Meet the Author Bernie McQuillan  

Local Author, Bernie McQuillan, will read from and talk about her debut novel, The Lobster Pot.

 

Longlisted for the Caledonian Novel Award and highly commended in the Irish Writer Centre’s Novel Awards, Bernie will also discuss her journey to getting published.

You will be creating your own masterpiece with air drying clay.

StoryTime and Draw Along  

Join illustrator Clive McFarland for a reading of his picture book ‘Standing On One Leg is Hard’, discover fun animal facts, and learn how to draw your very own heron chick!

Standing On One Leg is Hard tells the story of a little heron chick who is trying HARD to be like the grown-up herons who stand so gracefully on one leg. But she just CAN'T do it! Maybe she just needs a little help?
