Cookstown Library is delighted to launch a new Community Knit and Natter group on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Why not come along for a cup of tea, a friendly chat in a relaxed and welcoming environment, and to avail of the chance to learn new skills! Everyone welcome. |

Every Friday from 10:30am to 11:00am. Booking is essential, ring on Thursday morning to book a place. Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories. Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun! |

| Reminiscence Group |
First Monday of the month from 10:30am - 11:30am, commencing on Monday 7 October 2024. This group meets on a monthly basis to discuss local history and share memories, with the aim of providing opportunities to reminisce. There are also guest speakers invited to some of the sessions to inspire discussion on a variety of reminiscence topics. |

| Thrive on Thursday-Walk, Wellness and Connection |
First Thursday of every month from 11:00am - 1:00pm
We will begin with a gentle walk offering fresh air, light exercise, and the chance to chat and connect. Afterwards, return to the library for a wellness talk or activity focused on overall wellbeing-covering topics like Mindfulness, Stress relief or Healthy habits.
Enjoy refreshments and good conversation n a welcoming and relaxed after setting.
In the event of bad weather, an indoor activity will take place instead. |
