Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Saturday from 10:00am to 10:30am.
 
Everyone welcome.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Duplo Club  

Every Saturday from 10:30am to 11:30am.

 

For children aged 1 – 6 years. All children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
Come along to have some Duplo building fun. Fun and creative ideas for things to make and build.

Seed Social  

Garvagh Library invites you to come along to our monthly Seed Social Club to learn and share tips on seeds and gardening and to socialise with friends while enjoying a nice cuppa together.

Knit and Natter  
Every Tuesday from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
 
Everyone welcome.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Lego Club  

Every Tuesday from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.

For children aged 4 - 10 years. All children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.

Tea and Newspapers  

Every Thursday from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.
 

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Storytime  

Weekly, every Saturday from 2:30pm to 3.00pm. Suitable for ages 4-8 years; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Storytime sessions help children develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Chatterbooks  

Chatterbooks is an exciting Junior Reading Group where children aged 9 - 11 years can come along to chat about their favourite books, enjoy fun activities and crafts and meet new friends.

Empathy Day Festival - Friendship Storytime and Bracelet Craft  

As part of our Empathy Day Festival celebrations, Garvagh Library invites children aged 6-10 years old to join us for our 'Friendship Storytime and Bracelet Craft. Our lovely library staff will read you a story celebrating connection and friendship. Afterwards you will use our array of craft supplies to make your very own funky friendship bracelet.

Empathy Day Festival - 'Feelings Fruit Tree' Craft  

The Empathy Day Festival celebrations continue as Garvagh Library invites little gardeners aged 4-8 years old to join us in crafting our very own 'Feelings Fruit Tree'. Led by our lovely library staff, you will make your very own craft tree ripe with fruit representing all kinds of different feelings, using our selection of craft resources available.

It's time for a chat and a cuppa! As part of our Empathy Day Festival celebrations, you are invited to join us in Garvagh Library for a Chatty Cuppa, as we come together over a cuppa and engage with each other and connect with our local community.

Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman (NIPSO) - 'Drop In' Information Session  

Garvagh Library is delighted to welcome the Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman (NIPSO), to host an information session . The NIPSO investigates complaints about public services in Northern Ireland. If you feel you have been treated unfairly by a public body, such as a council, school, health service, or government department, NIPSO provides a free, independent service to review your complaint. They aim to put things right, improve services, and ensure people are treated fairly. This session in Garvagh Library will provide an opportunity for the local community to come and learn more by meeting the NIPSO Policy and Engagement Team.

Nature Photograph Day - 'Leaf Photo Frame' Craft  

Say cheese! This Nature Photography Day, Garvagh Library invites all budding nature photographers aged 4-8 years old to join us for our 'Leaf Photo Frame' craft. Our lovely library staff will guide you through making your very own natured inspired frame to hold your stunning  photographs, using our selection of craft resources available.

Community Advice Causeway - 'Drop In' Information Talk  

In support of Loneliness Awareness Week, Garvagh Library is delighted to welcome Community Advice Causeway, a local charity providing free, independent advice to all areas of Causeway Coast and Glens area, to host an information talk. Drop in and meet a member of the team to find out more on what topics Community Advice Causeway can support with including: employment, housing rights, money and debt, family issues, health, education and much more.

Father's Day 'Card Making' Craft  

This Father's Day weekend, all children aged 4-8 are invited to join us at Garvagh Library for our Father's Day 'Card Making' Craft. Using our array of craft supplies, come make a special card ahead of the big day, to give to your loved one.

National Bingo Day - 'Summer Bingo Board' Craft  

School's out for the summer! We're inviting all adventurers aged 4-8 years old to join us in Garvagh Library to make your very own Summer Bingo Board. Whether it is activities you want to do or things you would like to see, you can tailor your Bingo Board to your own personal summer goals and then see how many you can tick off before September.
