| Rhythm and Rhyme |
Every Friday from 10:45am - 11:15am. Booking is essential as places are limited. Rhythm and Rhyme is an exciting free programme to introduce children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories in the library. Each session provides an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, and offers a foundation for developing reading, listening and language skills in a fun and entertaining way. |

| Lego Club |
Every Tuesday from 3:30pm - 4:30pm for children aged 7 - 11 years, children must be accompanied by an adult.
ASD friendly sessions will be available every second Monday from 3:00pm - 4:00pm for children aged 4 and over.

| Tea and Newspapers |
Every Wednesday from 10:00am - 12 noon. Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. |

| Knit and Natter |
Every Thursday from 11:00am - 12:00noon Knit and Natter groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new. |

Celebrating The International Day of Peace Newcastle Library invites our library users and writing groups to share their visions for a harmonious world through verse. | Multicultural Café and Storytelling Morning |
Making Good Relations Week at Newcastle Library, community members are invited to bring a favourite family recipe or dish and share the personal or cultural story behind it. Developed around the everyday necessity of food from different cultures, this drop-in community morning with short storytelling circles will focus on the principle of inclusion, which is the core theme of Good Relations Week. Participants are invited to browse the library's inclusive literature and diversity book display. |

| Mag's Farm Where Music Grows. With Maggie Doyle |
Rounding off a week of events at Newcastle Library, marking Book Week NI, Maggie Doyle conjures up for her listeners a luminous blend of prose and poetry, told in diary form, which captures the evolving life of a small dairy farm in the Dromara Hills—where music, landscape, and community meet. Maggie will tell us the story of how the farm was transformed into an independent jazz venue, welcoming musicians from around the world, in the quiet companionship of rescued animals. |
