Join us for our new monthly Online Reading Group from the comfort of your own home.
Like any other Reading Group a book is selected each month then participants are invited to join the meeting on Zoom for an hour each month to discuss the book.

Mindful Colouring  
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00am - 12:00pm.
 
Enhance your well-being and calm the mind through relaxed meditative colouring. A gentle way to reduce stress using intricate colouring patterns and designs.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Friday from 10:30am - 11:00am.
 
Rhythm and Rhyme is an exciting free programme to introduce children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories in the library. Rhythm and Rhyme is a great opportunity for children to have fun and learn in a relaxed venue while giving parents and carers the chance to socialise.

Knit and Natter  
Every Friday from 1:00pm - 2:00pm.
 
A group for anyone who enjoys knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. Share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Bring whatever you are working on at the moment or start a new project.

Every Saturday from 10:30am – 11:30am.

Tea and Newspapers  

Every Wednesday from 10:15am - 12:15pm.


Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Adult Reading Group

Adult Reading Groups are a great opportunity for members to join in some lively literary discussions in a relaxed, friendly environment. The groups encourage people to read for pleasure, share their enthusiasm and express opinions about books and their authors.
The group meets on a regular basis and the book the group will be discussing can be borrowed from the library catalogue for free

Meet the Author - Brendan Brian Larkin  

Brendan Brian Larkin is an Irish author from Galway. He is the author of What County Man Are Ya, a memoir that delves into themes of nostalgia, identity, and the enduring connection to Ireland’s landscapes, traditions, and cultural heritage.

Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman  

Carryduff Library is delighted to welcome the Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman (NIPSO), who will be hosting an information stand in the library. 

The NIPSO investigates complaints about public services in Northern Ireland. If you feel you have been treated unfairly by a public body, NIPSO provides a free, independent service to review your complaint. Their presence in Carryduff Library will provide an opportunity for the local community to learn more by meeting the NIPSO Policy and Engagement Team.

World Ocean Day  
 

On June 15, we’re celebrating World Ocean Day with a fun children’s craft event!
