| 'Include': Stories of Home |
To mark Good Relations Week and this year’s theme of ‘Include’, Bangor Carnegie Library will celebrate the diverse voices and experiences that make up our local community. Working with local community groups, the library will share the stories of people who have come from around the world to make Bangor their home. Contributors will reflect on their experiences of coming to Bangor, what they value about life here, what they miss or remember about the places they came from, and what makes somewhere feel like home. Stories will be featured in a special display at Bangor Carnegie Library, with selected contributions also shared through Libraries NI’s North Down and Ards social media channels throughout Good Relations Week. The project aims to create opportunities for different voices to be heard, encourage understanding between communities, and celebrate Bangor as a place shaped by people from many different backgrounds. |
