Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Friday from 11:00am to 11:30am.

To be accompanied by an adult, booking is essential.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Sensory Storytime  

Fun story time and rhymes with dimmed lights and quiet surroundings.

Held in a quiet/sensory room. For children aged 4-8 years accompanied by an adult.

Rise and Shine: Coffee and Crossword Morning  

Join us at the library for a relaxed and engaging coffee morning. Enjoy refreshments while challenging your mind with crosswords designed to support mental stimulation and wellbeing.

Eco Rangers Litter Picking Station  

Be an Eco-friendly Ranger and pick up a litter picker at Larne Library’s Eco Ranger station.
Keep your environment litter free and be an Eco-Friendly Warrior.

Seed Library  
New Seed Library in Larne library using repurposed card catalogue furniture.

As well as offering free seeds, the seed libraries also offer growing instructions and advice. The aim of these projects is to promote a ‘borrow, grow, donate’ ethos in local communities and to work with gardening groups to bring the pleasures of growing from seed to a wider audience.

Book Buddies  
Find your book buddy in our box of cuddly toys or dress up from our fancy dress box to help you find your books to read.

Cuddly toys and fancy dress clothes stay in library until your next visit.

Sewing Box  
Every Tuesday from 11:00am to 12 noon.

Group lead - bring your own sewing/craft with you. Meet other people and share ideas.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:00am to 12 noon.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Lego Club  
Lego Club on Tuesdays from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. For children aged 6 and over accompanied by an adult.

Knit and Natter  
Every Wednesday from 11:00am to 12 noon.

Numbers limited, contact staff for details.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Quiet Sensory play in our Sensory Room  

Bring your child/children along to visit the library, borrow books and avail of the toys in our quiet sensory room.

RNID Hearing Aid Drop-In Clinic
Drop in for support with your hearing aids, including maintenance, basic repairs, and advice from RNID staff.

Meets on the last Thursday of the month, from 4:45pm - 5:45pm.
 
The Adult Reading Group for 16's and over gives an opportunity for adults to discuss their latest book.

Join us for hands-on coding sessions with KUBO the Robot Designed for children aged 6–10 years, these playful sessions introduce the basics of coding through guided activities that encourage logical thinking and problem-solving, with no previous experience needed.

Dungeons and Dragons - One Shot  

 

 

Adventurers wanted for role playing! Come along to the library and try your hand at being a paladin, sorcerer or rogue in this beginner-friendly Dungeons and Dragons one-shot adventure. Work together, solve problems and explore a fantasy world in a fun guided session.
