The Adult Reading Group for 16's and over gives an opportunity for adults to discuss their latest book.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Monday from 10:30am - 11:00am.
 
Rhythm and Rhyme is an exciting free programme to introduce children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories in the library. Rhythm and Rhyme is a great opportunity for children to have fun and learn in a relaxed venue while giving parents and carers the chance to socialise.

Duplo Club  
Come and create something fantastic at our Duplo Club. We work on a different theme every week.
 
For children aged 4 years and under accompanied by an adult.

Homework Hub  

Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at 2:00pm. Finishing at 4:00pm on a Monday and 5:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

Join our Homework Hub where you will be able to complete your homework in the company of your friends. We will provide information books and computer access to help make homework fun and easy.

Knit and Natter  
Every Tuesday from 10:30am to 12 noon.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Lego Club  
Every Tuesday from 3:30pm - 4:15pm

Children aged 5 years up; accompanied by parent/carer.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Quiet Hour  

Quiet time every Saturday from 10:00am -11:00am. Lights will be dimmed and we will try to keep noise to a minimum and provide a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

 

Material to promote calm and relaxation, such as mindful colouring, will be available on demand.

Please help us to make Saturday mornings special.

Book Speed Dating: Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover  

Join us for a fun, fast-paced activity to celebrate World Book Day. Rotate through quick, timed rounds where participants “date” books, not people, to discover their next favourite read.

A Very Hoppy Easter Storytime and Egg Hunt  

Something egg-stra special is happening between the bookshelves … Join us for a festive Easter Storytime and Egg Hunt. Who knows what surprises might be tucked behind a storybook or peeking out from a cozy corner? Track them down and win a sweet treat.

Sunflowers and Sunshine: Growing Awareness Together  

To mark Autism Awareness Day, join us during Quiet Hour to plant sunflower seeds in a calm environment to take home afterwards. Planting is an enjoyable, therapeutic activity, offering sensory engagement, stress reduction, and skill-building.

Hop, Roll and Play! Family Easter Holiday Board Games  

Hop in for an afternoon of playful challenges and memory-making moments. Bring the whole family and enjoy classic favourites like Jenga, Snakes and Ladders, Mouse Trap, as well as Easter-themed games.

A Midsummer Mischief: Shakespeare Character Scavenger Hunt  

This Shakespeare Day, the library is under some fairy magic… Characters from A Midsummer Night's Dream have slipped from the pages and are hiding among the shelves! Can you help us find them? Search high and low for beloved figures like the mischievous Puck, the fairy queen Titania, and, of course, the comical Bottom. Complete the hunt and claim your sweet treat!
