Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Friday from 10:30am to 11:00am.
 
Phone to book on Thursday prior to Friday Rhythm and Rhyme.
 
Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.
 
Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Every Saturday from 10:00am to 11:00am.

Glengormley Dungeons and Dragons Group  

Join us Glengormley library for a ragtag of adventures in our weekly Dungeons and Dragons group. For age 18 and over. This group event takes place every Saturday from 12:30pm - 3:30pm and every Thursday from 3:00pm - 5:00pm.

Chess Drop-in  

Chess Drop-in
Every Tuesday morning from 10:00am – 12 noon.
Come along for a cuppa and find an opponent for a relaxing game of chess. All ages welcome. No booking needed. Refreshments provided.

Junior Reading Group  
Like books? Love Reading?

Join our Junior Book Club for children aged 9-11.

First Tuesday of the month from 3:30pm – 4:30pm.

No need to book just come along.
Junior Reading Groups are a fun way for children to be introduced to a wide range of new books, authors and to make new friends along the way. Members are asked to read a chosen book before each meeting, which will be available to borrow for free from the library catalogue.

Mindful Colouring  
Every Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
 
Enhance your well-being and calm the mind through relaxed meditative colouring. A gentle way to reduce stress using intricate colouring patterns and designs.

Knit and Natter  
Every Wednesday from 2:00pm and 3:30pm.

Phone to book.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Come along to our Sensory Stay and Play club which is our new Quiet Hour Storytime in Glengormley Library.  Enjoy a Sensory Story with library staff and stay for a bit of play.  Socialise with other parents, carers and guardians after and enjoy.

Big Summer Read 2026 - Comic Creation Station

With so many great stories and ideas over the summer it's time to make our own fantastic adventures. We'll be using drawing and collage to bring the page alive at our ‘Comic Creation Station’.

Save the Bees Workshop  

Help us celebrate Go Green with Libraries NI Month! Use our craft resources to decorate your own very own flowerpot before planting special seed paper to grow your own colourful wildflowers. These flowers will give bees and other pollinators much needed food reserves before the winter months!

NI War Memorial Second World War Reminiscence Talk  

In this reminiscence workshop Mark from the Northern Ireland War Memorial Museum in Belfast will bring objects and photographs from the museum relating to the Second World War. 

Topics covered include the Belfast Blitz, the American presence, gas masks and rationing.
