Join us once a month to discuss your favourite crime books with fellow enthusiasts. From True Crime to Murder Mysteries we’ll look for the clues over a cup of coffee. Over 18’s’

Tea and Newspapers  

Join us in the library for a cuppa and a browse of an assortment of local newspapers. Grab a comfy space or stay in the group for some chit chat.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Friday from 10:30am to 11:00am.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.
 
Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Join us Glengormley library for a ragtag of adventures in our weekly Dungeons and Dragons group. For age 18 and over. This group event takes place every Saturday.

Chess Drop-in  

Chess Drop-in
Every Tuesday morning from 10:00am – 12 noon.
Come along for a cuppa and find an opponent for a relaxing game of chess. All ages welcome. No booking needed. Refreshments provided.

Junior Reading Group  
Like books? Love Reading?

Join our Junior Book Club for children aged 9-11.

First Tuesday of the month from 3:30pm – 4:30pm.

No need to book just come along.
Junior Reading Groups are a fun way for children to be introduced to a wide range of new books, authors and to make new friends along the way. Members are asked to read a chosen book before each meeting, which will be available to borrow for free from the library catalogue.

Mindful Colouring  
Every Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
 
Enhance your well-being and calm the mind through relaxed meditative colouring. A gentle way to reduce stress using intricate colouring patterns and designs.

Knit and Natter  
Every Wednesday from 2:00pm and 3:30pm.

Phone to book.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Busy Hands and Bright Minds Group  

Join us for our new group, “Busy Hands and Bright Minds.” Each session blends sensory stories, hands-on sensory play, and neurodivergent friendly activity to spark imagination, build confidence, and support different ways of learning and experiencing the world. Whether your child loves calming textures, vibrant stories, or play, there’s something for every curious mind. 

Perfect for those aged 6-11 years, and all activities are delivered in a relaxed, supportive environment. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sensory Stay and Play Club  

Come along to our Sensory Stay and Play club which is our new Quiet Hour Storytime in Glengormley Library.  Enjoy a Sensory Story with library staff and stay for a bit of play.  Socialise with other parents, carers and guardians after and enjoy.
