Lego Club Reading Group  

This takes place every Friday; suitable for age 8 upwards. Come along and discuss our book club book while playing with Lego. We will provide a book every month to read.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Friday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Homework Club  

This takes place every Tuesday and Wednesday 3:00pm - 4:00pm.
For ages P5 and up. Come along and do your homework in the peace and quiet of the library. Staff will assist with helpful books and websites (internet permission is needed by parent/guardian before being able to use the computers).

Storytime  

Storytime session every Saturday; suitable for ages 4 - 8 years old. This session will help children aged 4 - 8 years develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.
Children aged 8 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
To be held on the last Tuesday of every month from 10:30am to 11:15am.
Booking is essential.
 
Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.
Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Autism Friendly Hour  

This takes place on the last Tuesday in the month. Booking is essential to ensure a time slot. The library will be closed to the general public and you will have your own individual time slot to use the library.

Bit of Craic Club  

The Bit of Craic Club is a relaxed adult storytelling group where people come together to hear stories and share memories and moments that make you smile.
 

From funny tales and everyday experiences to local memories and gentle reflections, this group celebrates the joy of storytelling in a friendly, informal setting.

There’s no pressure to perform — whether you want to share a story, listen along, or simply enjoy the company, everyone is welcome.
 

The group meets the last Wednesday of the Month from 2:15pm - 3:15pm

Save the Bees Workshop  

Help us celebrate Go Green with Libraries NI Month! Use our craft resources to decorate your own very own flowerpot before planting special seed paper to grow your own colourful wildflowers. These flowers will give bees and other pollinators much needed food reserves before the winter months!

Brain Gym  

Visit the Brain Gym at Crumlin Library.  Enjoy an interactive session using simple hand movements, coordination exercises, and practical resources to help activate the mind and improve focus.
 

This gentle, engaging workshop supports concentration and mental clarity in a relaxed and fun way.

Positive Ageing Month  

Join us for a relaxing and accessible Chair Yoga session led by Kelly from Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. This gentle session is designed to support wellbeing, flexibility, and relaxation, all from the comfort of a seated position. Suitable for all abilities, it’s a great opportunity to unwind, improve mobility, and enjoy a calm and supportive environment.

Spanish Storytime  

Join us for a fun and engaging Spanish Storytime at the library! Children and families will enjoy a story, songs and simple activities designed to introduce the Spanish language in an interactive and enjoyable way.  

Whether you're already learning Spanish or are completely new to it, this welcoming session is a wonderful opportunity to explore a different language and culture through the magic of storytelling.

Stephen O'Hara Storyteller Visit  


Stephen O’Hara is a storyteller from Cushendun in the Glens of Antrim, and he tells heart-warming, comical, and sorrowful stories from mythology and folklore. Stephen loves stories where the lived experience from historical figures and ordinary people is brought to life, and he shows great respect for the lives they lived, the hardships they endured, and the impact they had on their world and ours. He will make you laugh, and think, and maybe even shed a tear as he takes you through his world of stories.
