Tea and Newspapers  

Every Thursday from 10:00am - 1:00pm.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Quiet Time  

Quiet time every Thursday morning.


Lights will be dimmed and we’ll do our best to keep noise to a minimum and provide a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

 

Material to promote calm and relaxation e.g. mindful colouring will be available on request.

Rhythm and Rhyme  

Every Saturday from 10:30am - 11:00am.

Followed by toddler craft time at 11:00am - 11:30am.

Rhythm and Rhyme is an exciting free programme to introduce children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories in the library. Rhythm and Rhyme is a great opportunity for children to have fun and learn in a relaxed venue while giving parents and carers the chance to socialise.

 

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Lego Club  

Every Thursday and Saturday afternoon from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. 

Come and create something fantastic to display.

Knit and Natter  

Every Tuesday from 3:30pm - 4:30pm.

A group for anyone who enjoys knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. Share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Bring whatever you are working on at the moment or start a new project.

Game On -Board Game Club  

First Saturday of every month from 2:00pm - 3:30pm.

Craft and Craic  

Last Tuesday of every month from 1:00pm - 2:00pm.

From sewing to decoupage and more.
Learn new skills and complete a finished product.
Refreshments and materials provided, Suitable for adults.

Family Fun Day: Storytelling with Karen Edwards  

Join us for a Family Fun Day at Carnlough Library featuring storytelling sessions with Karen Edwards. These lively, engaging sessions celebrate stories and reading as part of World Book Day, welcoming visiting school classes alongside families, friends, and members of the wider community. Everyone is welcome to drop in and enjoy storytelling together in a relaxed, inclusive library setting.
