In the Beginning: A Narnia Reading Group  

Join us at Broughshane Library for the sixth session of our Narnia Summer Reading Group! We go back to the very beginning, before the wardrobe, before the White Witch, with the story of how Narnia was sung into existence. We'll read and discuss The Magician's Nephew together and enjoy a creation-themed colouring sheet featuring Aslan and the dawn of a new world.

Children aged 4-11; children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Art Basics: Environment Drawing & Perspective  

Every great character needs a world to live in! Join us at Broughshane Library for the second of our Art Basics sessions, this time focusing on environment drawing and perspective. We'll explore how to create depth and space on the page, build convincing landscapes and settings, and give your characters a world worth exploring. All abilities welcome. Materials provided.

Children aged 4–11 and Teenagers aged 11–16. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Manga Group  

Two brothers. One terrible mistake. A journey to make things right. Join us at Broughshane Library for our penultimate manga session, exploring Fullmetal Alchemist, widely regarded as one of the greatest manga ever written. A story of sacrifice, redemption, and the price of power that will stay with you long after the final page.

We reach the end of all things, and the beginning of something greater. Join us at Broughshane Library for our final Narnia session as we discuss The Last Battle and the glorious, bittersweet conclusion to C.S. Lewis's beloved series. We'll round off with a special activity: illustrate your favourite moment from across the whole series.

Your Pick: The Manga Reading Group Vote  

It's the final session of our Big Summer Read Manga Group at Broughshane Library, and this one is all about you! We'll look back at the series we've explored over the summer, share our favourites, and vote on which series to carry forward into our official Manga Reading Group launching this Autumn. Save the Bees – Pot, Plant & Pollinate!  

Help us celebrate Go Green with Libraries NI Month!
A fun activity where children will get to decorate their very own flower pot before planting special seed paper to grow their own colourful wildflowers.
These flowers will give bees and other pollinators a much needed food reserve before the winter months!
