Storytime  
Weekly, every Monday from 3:30pm to 4:00pm. Suitable for ages 4-8 years.
 
Storytime sessions help children develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Friday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Lego Club  
Every Tuesday from 3:30pm to 5:00pm.

For children aged 5-10, all children attending this event must be accompanied by an adult.

Rhythm and Rhyme (Wednesdays and Fridays)  
Every Wednesday and Friday from 10:30am to 11:00am.
 
Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.
 
Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Mindful Colouring  
Every Thursday from 11:00am to 12 noon.

Mindful Colouring groups are for anyone who wants to explore the world of adult colouring with intricate colouring patterns and designs. They can enhance well-being, help calm the mind and relieve stress through relaxed, meditative colouring in.

Sensory Playtime  

Monthly on the last Thursday of every month from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Suitable for ages 3+ years.

Sensory playtime in Ballymoney Library offers children a dedicated time with various sensory equipment for sensory-based play.

Big Summer Read - 'Erupting volcanoes' Lego Challenge  

The Big Summer Read meets science at Ballymoney Library, as we invite children aged 5-10 to come along and enjoy our 'Erupting volcanoes' Lego Challenge.  Using our selection of Lego, your challenge is to build a volcano before joining our friendly staff for a special experiment, where they will help you make an erupting volcano.

Go On - Meet Kubo the robot!  

Learn the basics of coding with an interactive game that helps Kubo get to school, play football and go to the shops.

Roald Dahl Day Story and Craft session  

It's Roald Dahl Day at Ballymoney library.  Children aged 4-10 years are invited to come along to celebrate and listen to some extracts from famous Roald Dahl books and then take part in our dream catchers craft or have a go at making Mr Twit's beard.  Booking not essential.

Save the Bees flowerpot craft  

Help us celebrate Go Green with Libraries NI Month! Use our craft resources to decorate your very own flowerpot before planting special seed paper to grow your own colourful wildflowers. These flowers will give bees and other pollinators much needed food reserves before the winter months! Booking essential

Macmillan Coffee Morning  

Ballymoney Library invites you to join us as we hold our Macmillan Coffee Morning, in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. Come along and enjoy lots of good chat over a nice cuppa and help raise money to support those living with cancer.

Adult Reading Group  
Last Wednesday of the month from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
 
Adult Reading Groups are a great opportunity for members to join in some lively literary discussions in a relaxed, friendly environment. The groups encourage people to read for pleasure, share their enthusiasm and express opinions about books and their authors.
The group meets on a regular basis and the book the group will be discussing can be borrowed from the library catalogue for free.
