ADDITIONAL CUSTOMER NOTICE: Library will be open late for event on 30 June

Antrim Library is open late on Tuesday evening, 30 June, in order to facilitate the Film Screening and Talk with William Crawley and Patricia Craig event (taking place 6:30pm - 7:30pm) and the library will remain open until 8:00pm. See details in the events table below and come along!

Explore the characters and authors from a varied selection of comics. Pick a book from our Comic Book Box and then bring it on the day to discuss and swap with another member.  Stay after and create your very own comic with the resources provided. Perfect for children aged 9-11 years.

Mindful Colouring  

Mindful colouring for adults every Wednesday - offering significant benefits, including reduced stress levels, and improved focus by encouraging a state of calm, present-moment awareness.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Monday from 10:30am to 11:00am.

Booking is essential, bookings for Rhythm and Rhyme will be taken on the Friday before by calling the library directly on 028 9446 1942.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Sessions to help primary school children develop a love of books, improve their listening skills with a Storytime and inspire creativity that feeds their imagination with activities available on the day.

Tea and Newspapers  
Every Thursday from 10:00am to 11:00am.

Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.

Lego Duplo Club  

For children aged 1 – 6 years. All children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
Come along to have some Duplo building fun. Fun and creative ideas for things to make and build.

Adult Board Games Club 

Friday’s 10:30am—11:30am.

Knit and Natter  
Every Friday from 2:00pm to 3:30pm.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Arc 21 Eco Friendly Workshop - Pebble Art  

Please note this event is now fully booked.

 

Join us for an Arc 21 Eco‑Friendly Art Workshop for adults, where you’ll learn how to repurpose everyday materials into unique, sustainable crafts. This hands‑on session explores creative ways to reuse and transform items that might otherwise go to waste, combining environmental awareness with artistic expression.

Save the Bees Workshop  

Help us celebrate Go Green with Libraries NI Month! Use our craft resources to decorate your own very own flowerpot before planting special seed paper to grow your own colourful wildflowers. These flowers will give bees and other pollinators much needed food reserves before the winter months!
